The official Qatar Airways number for callers in Qatar, which channels really run around the clock, how the WhatsApp booking line works, and where to go for refunds, baggage and Doha offices.
The Qatar Airways contact number for callers in Qatar is +974 4144 5555 (dial 4144 5555 locally), as listed on the airline's official Help page. The airline does not publish hours for this contact center; the only channel it explicitly describes as 24-hour is its hard-of-hearing line. WhatsApp (+974 3131 1164) is a booking service published on selected regional pages, while refunds, missing baggage and Privilege Club requests use dedicated online routes.
Open the Qatar Airways Help page and choose your country to see the official number for where you are.
In Qatar, call 4144 5555 for bookings, changes and urgent flight problems.
Use My trips on the website or app for self-service changes before calling.
Submit refunds, baggage claims and special assistance requests through their own Help page forms.
If a travel agent issued your ticket, contact the agent for refunds and name corrections.
The main Qatar Airways contact number for callers in Qatar is +974 4144 5555. It is the number the Qatar Airways Help page shows when you choose Qatar in its country search, and the same line is listed for the airline's head office in Doha. It is not the right channel for everything, though. Refunds, missing bags, Privilege Club requests and medical assistance each have their own online route, WhatsApp is a booking service published on selected regional pages, and holiday packages are handled by Qatar Airways Holidays. This guide shows which official channel fits which problem, and what each one actually promises.
Qatar Airways contact options at a glance
Availability below is attributed to each channel separately. Where the airline's page gives no hours, the table says so rather than guessing.

Qatar Airways contact number in Qatar
Inside Qatar, dial 4144 5555 from a local mobile or landline. Qatar numbers have eight digits, so no area code is needed. From outside Qatar the full international format is +974 4144 5555, but it is usually better to use the number the Help page lists for the country you are in: the airline publishes separate numbers for most countries, and a local number generally costs less than an international call.
QatarVia found no official statement that the Qatar number is toll-free. Expect normal call charges from your operator, and international rates plus any roaming charges if you call it from abroad. The Help page also offers a scheduled callback and, for Privilege Club members, an online call over Wi-Fi or mobile data, which can avoid call costs altogether. If you plan to use mobile data, Ooredoo customers can check their Ooredoo data balance first.
The same number appears as the head office telephone on the airline's EU legal contact page, under Qatar Airways Group, Qatar Airways Tower, Doha. Treat it as a passenger contact center rather than a direct line to any particular department or office.
Which Qatar Airways channels operate 24/7?
This is where many contact pages overstate things. On the official pages QatarVia checked, the only channel the airline explicitly describes as round-the-clock is the hard-of-hearing support number (+1 833 607 2675), which the Help page calls a "dedicated 24-hour support number".
Contact center: the Help page does not publish opening hours for it. The Qatar Airways Holidays contact page sends customers to this contact center for urgent flight help outside working hours, which shows it is meant for out-of-hours issues, but neither page states 24/7 availability or a response time.
WhatsApp: no hours are stated on the regional WhatsApp pages.
Live chat, callback and online call: no hours are stated. Callback slots are limited, and the page asks you to use live chat when no slots are free.
Online forms (refunds, baggage, feedback, special assistance): you can submit them at any time, but that is not the same as a 24-hour response.
Offices: each has its own hours. The Qatar Airways Holidays shop in Doha, for example, is closed on Fridays.

In practice, the app and the website's My trips section are always available for self-service changes, and they are often quicker than waiting on the phone.
Qatar Airways WhatsApp number
Qatar Airways publishes +974 3131 1164 as its verified WhatsApp business account on regional pages for Kenya, South Africa and Nigeria. Those pages describe it as a booking service: you can "book end-to-end directly on the app" and get "quick support for all your journey planning needs", and they ask you to contact the team on WhatsApp for any booking queries.
A few points the pages do not support, so do not assume them:
The main phone number is not a WhatsApp number. The WhatsApp account uses its own number.
Global coverage is not confirmed. QatarVia found the service on African market pages and did not find an equivalent WhatsApp page for Qatar or the global English site. It may still answer messages from elsewhere, but the airline does not say so.
No hours are published, and there is no promise of an immediate human reply.
Refunds, missing bags and Privilege Club requests are not listed as WhatsApp services. Use the dedicated Help page routes for those.
The safest way to start a chat is from the airline's own page rather than from a number found in a search result or social media comment. The official pages give these safety rules:
Make sure you are messaging the verified business account on +974 3131 1164 and look for the blue verification badge. A badge alone is not proof, so check the number too.
Never share your card PIN or one-time passwords (OTPs) with anyone.
Make payments only through the secure in-chat payment link.
That last point matters: the airline does use a payment link inside its official WhatsApp chat, so a payment link on its own is not a red flag. What should stop you is anyone asking you to type card numbers, PINs, passwords or OTPs into a chat message, or a link sent from any other number.
Qatar Airways live chat and online help
Live chat sits in the "Get in touch" section near the bottom of the Qatar Airways Help page. On the version QatarVia checked, the "Let's chat" button for signed-out visitors links to the Privilege Club login page, so expect to sign in or create a Privilege Club account before you can chat.
The same section offers two other options:
Schedule a callback: pick a date and time slot, choose new booking or booking change, and the airline calls you. It is offered in English and Arabic only, and the page warns that callbacks may be delayed when call demand is high.
Online call: a voice call through your browser over Wi-Fi or mobile data. The page says it is for Privilege Club members, works only in select countries and on desktop, and does not work in Safari (use Chrome, Edge or Firefox).
The Help page also has self-service tools that do not need a phone call at all: change flight, name correction, refund and voucher requests, refund tracking, travel certificates for delayed or canceled flights (up to 12 months after travel), tax invoices, and a Feedback & Concerns form for complaints and compliments.
Qatar Airways offices in Doha
Directory sites list many Doha "offices" with telephone numbers and opening times, but QatarVia could not confirm a current official list of walk-in Qatar Airways ticket offices in Doha. The Help page has a "Locate us" tab that searches office locations by city; it loads dynamically and its Doha results could not be read for this guide. Use that tab, then call the contact center to confirm before traveling to any office.

Two related services are often confused with the airline's passenger helpline:
Discover Qatar is Qatar Airways Holidays' local partner for Doha hotels, tours and transfers. The Qatar Airways Holidays contact page gives its number, +974 4144 5150, only for urgent out-of-hours help with Doha hotel bookings, tours or transfers. It cannot change your flight.
Qatar Airways Cargo handles freight through its own website, qrcargo.com. Passenger baggage problems go through the airline, not the cargo division.

For property left behind in the terminal at Hamad International Airport, the Hamad International Airport contact page lists the HIA Call Center and Lost Property line, +974 4010 6666. A checked bag that did not arrive with you is reported to the airline instead. Airline and airport lines are not emergency services: for police, ambulance or fire, use the emergency numbers in Qatar.
If you are contacting Qatar Airways about a job rather than a flight, passenger support cannot help. Applications go through the airline's recruitment site, which our Qatar Airways careers guide explains.
What to prepare before contacting support
Your six-character booking reference (PNR) and the passenger's last name exactly as booked.
Your 13-digit ticket number if you have it. Qatar Airways tickets start with 157.
Flight number and date, and your departure and arrival airports.
A two or three sentence summary of the problem and what outcome you want.
Any existing case or reference number, plus your baggage tag number for bag issues.
Receipts for expenses you plan to claim.
Keep these details private. Do not post booking references, passport pages or ticket screenshots in public replies on social media, where anyone can use them to open your booking.
If your flight is soon
Check the flight status tool first, then open your booking in the app or in My trips, where you can view and manage it without waiting for an agent.
Call the contact center for a same-day booking problem.
Residents leaving Qatar can check for a travel ban before heading to the airport. This is a government matter, not one the airline's contact center can resolve.
At the airport, speak to Qatar Airways staff in the check-in or transfer area. They deal with the immediate journey, such as boarding, connections and rebooking.
Claims come later. Refunds, compensation requests and formal complaints go through the Help page forms after the journey, not through airport staff.
If you are arriving in Qatar, check the entry rules before you fly. Visitors who need an e-visa apply through the Hayya visa platform, and the Doha Metro Red Line connects Hamad International Airport with central Doha.

Avoiding unofficial Qatar Airways contact numbers
Search results for "Qatar Airways Doha office" are crowded with directories and uploaded PDFs that show a US toll-free number under a Doha heading. Some are simply out of date, and a number that is not the airline's may connect you to a third party rather than Qatar Airways.
Take numbers only from the airline's own Qatar Airways Help page or your booking confirmation.
Be wary of any "Qatar Airways" number whose country code does not match where the page says the office is.
Never pay a "rebooking fee" or "refund release fee" requested by an unexpected caller, text or chat. Hang up and call back on the number from the official Help page.
Final word
For most problems, start with the Qatar Airways Help page: it lists the official number for your country and the online forms for refunds, baggage and special assistance. In Qatar, the contact center is +974 4144 5555. Use WhatsApp for bookings where the airline offers it, Qatar Airways Holidays for package trips, and your travel agent for tickets they issued. If you are still planning your trip, our guide to the best places to visit in Qatar is a good next read.
Contact details were checked against Qatar Airways, Qatar Airways Holidays and Hamad International Airport pages on 8 October 2026. QatarVia is independent and is not affiliated with Qatar Airways. The Qatar Airways Help page lists +974 4144 5555 for callers in Qatar. From a Qatar mobile or landline, dial 4144 5555. The same number is shown for the airline's head office in Doha.
Is Qatar Airways customer service available 24/7?
The airline's Help page does not publish hours for the main contact center. The only channel it explicitly calls 24-hour is the hard-of-hearing support line, +1 833 607 2675. Qatar Airways Holidays refers customers to the contact center for urgent flight help outside working hours, but neither page promises 24/7 availability.
Does Qatar Airways have a WhatsApp number?
Yes. Qatar Airways' Kenya, South Africa and Nigeria pages publish +974 3131 1164 as its verified WhatsApp business account for bookings and booking queries. No hours are stated, and QatarVia did not find an equivalent page for Qatar. Never share card PINs or one-time passwords in the chat.
Is the Qatar Airways Doha number toll-free?
QatarVia found no official statement that it is toll-free. Expect normal call charges inside Qatar, and international rates if you call from abroad. Callers outside Qatar should use the number the Help page lists for their own country.
How do I access Qatar Airways live chat?
Open the Get in touch section of the Qatar Airways Help page and select Let's chat. On the version QatarVia checked, the button led to the Privilege Club login, so expect to sign in or join first.
Can I visit a Qatar Airways office in Doha?
The Qatar Airways Holidays Shop on the ground floor of Qatar Airways Tower 1, Airport Road, opens Saturday to Thursday from 11:00 to 19:00 for holiday packages. For ticket offices, use the Locate us tab on the Help page and confirm by phone before going. The head office address is not a confirmed walk-in ticket office.
How do I contact Qatar Airways about delayed or missing baggage?
Use the missing baggage tracker linked from the Qatar Airways Help page to track your bag or make a claim. For items left inside Hamad International Airport, contact the airport's lost property service on +974 4010 6666.
Who handles bookings made through a travel agent?
Your travel agent. The Qatar Airways Help page tells agency customers to contact the agency for refunds, travel vouchers, name corrections and tax invoices. The airline can still help with operational issues on the day of travel.
Is there one Qatar Airways customer service email for every inquiry?
No. The Help page routes refunds, baggage, special assistance and complaints through separate online forms rather than one general email address. Be cautious of email addresses published on third-party sites.
